The heat from a hot tub helps open up blood vessels (vasodilation) and this helps lower blood pressure. Hydrotherapy is also good for joint pain and muscle aches due to the massaging action of the water jets and the buoyancy of the water reduces weight and loading on the joints. It may also help with stress and sleep issues. It is relaxing, firstly, and also it warms up the body. Cooling of the body after getting out can induce sleepiness.
